Com 34 faixas, esta coletânea captura o som cru e proto-heavy metal do Steppenwolf, misturando riffs pesados, grooves psicodélicos e letras com crítica social. Destaques incluem o hino atemporal “Born to Be Wild”, o hipnótico “Magic Carpet Ride” e o intenso “The Pusher”. O álbum traz faixas do início com The Sparrow, canções solo de John Kay e versões ao vivo, mostrando a evolução da banda.
