O silêncio que ainda ruge depois de meio século

A Creature Music relança em setembro de 2026 The Roaring Silence em edição de 50 anos, dois CDs que reúnem o álbum original de 1976 e material extra. 

O disco mistura progressive rock com folk, jazz e blues.A formação da época trazia Chris Thompson nos vocais e guitarra rítmica, Manfred Mann nos teclados, Dave Flett na guitarra solo, Colin Pattenden no baixo e Chris Slade na bateria. 

“Blinded By The Light”, cover de Bruce Springsteen, chegou ao primeiro lugar da Billboard em 1977. “The Road To Babylon” une um cânone do século XVIII a um trecho de Don McLean, “Questions” parte de um Impromptu de Schubert.

O som tem teclados marcantes de Mann, vocais de Thompson e arranjos que citam clássicos sem perder o groove.O álbum foi gravado no Workhouse Studios, em Londres. A edição traz um booklet de 40 páginas com entrevistas e fotos raras.
