Highland Fling Em 1972, foi lançado um dos discos mais curiosos da discografia dos Stones: Jamming With Edward, que se trata de uma jam session que foi gravada durante as sessões que deram origem a Let it Bleed. O disco foi gravado no Olympic Studios em 23 de abril de 1969, em um dia em que Keith não apareceu no estúdio e Mick, Charlie, Bill, Nicky Hopkins e Ry Cooder acabaram improvisando vários covers no estúdio, e que acabaram sendo gravados. Apesar de se tratar de um disco cujas músicas sejam quase que inteiramente instrumentais, ele alcançou um relativo sucesso nas paradas americanas, chegando à posição número 33. Algumas edições do disco acompanhavam um encarte que contém um texto assinado por Mick, segundo o qual essa gravação estava fadada a ficar esquecida, mas por sugestão de Glyn Johns (famoso engenheiro de som que trabalhou com os Stones) e Marshall Chess, que na época era o presidente da Rolling Stones Records, o disco acabou sendo lançado. ouvir
