Jamming With Edward! (1972/1995): Improviso Genial dos Rolling Stones

Jamming With Edward! é uma pérola de 1972 que reúne Mick Jagger, Charlie Watts e Bill Wyman dos Rolling Stones, com os talentosos Nicky Hopkins e Ry Cooder, em uma sessão de jams livres gravada em 23 de abril de 1969, no Olympic Studio, durante as sessões de Let It Bleed. A ideia surgiu por acaso: enquanto esperavam Keith Richards, que se atrasou, o grupo decidiu improvisar, resultando em um disco vibrante de blues, rock e toques psicodélicos. Faixas como “Blow With Ry” e “Edward’s Thrump Up” brilham pela energia crua e espontânea. O título homenageia o pianista Hopkins, apelidado “Edward” na sessão. Destaque para o contexto histórico, capturando a essência livre do final dos anos 60. Com solos de Cooder e o piano marcante de Hopkins.
