Ivar Avenue Reunion: Uma Explosão de Blues e Psicodelia em 1970

Lançado em 1970, Ivar Avenue Reunion é uma joia do blues rock com toques psicodélicos, gravada nos estúdios RCA em Ivar Avenue. Liderado por Neil Merryweather, o supergrupo traz Barry Goldberg (órgão/piano), Charlie Musselwhite (harmônica) e Lynn Carey (vocais). Faixas como “After While”, com seu groove à la “Smokestack Lightning”, e “Fast Train”, com vocais vibrantes de Carey, são destaques. O álbum nasceu de uma jam session improvisada, reunindo amigos em um ambiente descontraído. A capa, com o grupo posando, reflete a vibe crua e autêntica da época.
