Anthony Phillips’ 1984: Uma Jornada Eletrônica Audaciosa!

Lançado em 1981, 1984 de Anthony Phillips é uma explosão de rock progressivo com sintetizadores, rompendo com o folk acústico de seus trabalhos anteriores. As faixas épicas “1984 Part One” e “Part Two” brilham com melodias hipnóticas e texturas eletrônicas, evocando uma atmosfera cinematográfica. O álbum foi gravado em uma fita de 8 pistas em sua casa, mas transferido para 24 pistas em estúdio, exigindo cortes manuais minuciosos. Morris Pert, de Brand X, adiciona percussão vibrante, enquanto o título inspira-se no romance de Orwell, sem seguir sua narrativa.
