John Lee Hooker Incendeia Montreux: O Boogie Blues Estelar de 1983!

Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 1983, onde John Lee Hooker, aos 62 anos, despeja seu boogie woogie cru e hipnótico, misturado a riffs de rock e infusões jazzísticas, em um show capturado no lendário festival suíço. É blues vivo, suado e elétrico, com grooves que grudam na alma e solos que ecoam eternidade.

Hooker domina guitarra e vocais roucos, apoiado por uma supergroup de elite: Jack Bruce (Cream) no baixo e vocais, Billy Cobham na bateria fusion, Allan Holdsworth na guitarra prog, David Sancious (Stones/Springsteen) nos teclados e o violinista Didier Lockwood adicionando texturas etéreas. "Boom Boom" explode em energia contagiante; "Crawlin' King Snake" rasteja com tensão serpentina; "Serves Me Right to Suffer" e "High Heel Sneakers" capturam o swing blues clássico, com Lockwood elevando "I'll Take Care of You" a um lamento celestial.

Essa jam única foi montada especialmente para o festival, gravada em takes crus sem overdubs, preservando a faísca improvisada – liberada só em 2020, após décadas nos arquivos. Em 1983, pré-The Healer, Hooker provava seu fogo inextinguível, influenciando gerações.

Lançado em 1978, Some Girls marca a resposta feroz dos Rolling Stones ao punk e ao disco, revitalizando sua essência com um hard rock glamoroso e cru. Gravado em meio às tensões entre Mick Jagger e Keith Richards, o álbum mescla o groove disco-blues de “Miss You”, com seu icônico baixo pulsante, ao rock sujo de “When the Whip Comes Down” e à ironia country de “Far Away Eyes”. “Beast of Burden” brilha como uma balada soulful, enquanto “Before They Make Me Run” reflete a rebeldia de Keith em vocais roucos. “Shattered” encerra com uma energia caótica, capturando a decadência urbana.
