Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps), lançado em 1980, é David Bowie no auge de sua reinvenção. Este marco do pós-punk e new wave mistura art rock, experimentalismo e melodias cativantes, com letras que exploram paranoia e decadência. Faixas como “Ashes to Ashes”, um clássico que revisita Major Tom, e “Fashion”, com seu groove dançante, são destaques absolutos, enquanto “Teenage Wildlife” impressiona com sua intensidade emocional. A guitarra visceral de Robert Fripp, do King Crimson, eleva o álbum a outro patamar, especialmente em “Scary Monsters”.
